Our IT solution for milk composition analysis uses the latest IoT and data engineering technologies to provide accurate real-time insights into the quality and composition of milk to dairy farms. By collecting data from sensors, we are able to generate a comprehensive picture of the milk’s characteristics. 

You can be a part of all this, because we are looking for a Senior Azure DevOps Engineer to join us in Vilnius or remotely! Our IT development division is small, but it is expanding and you will have an important privilege of laying-out the foundations and growing the solution to success!

Description

Brolis Sensor Technology is a dedicated photonic sensor technology company within Brolis Group, it currently manages 2 offices: in Vilnius, Lithuania and in Ghent, Belgium. The company is a vertically integrated hardware-hard technology company. Our technology encompasses in-house semiconductor material synthesis by MBE, device design, processing into chips (lasers, gain-chips, photodetectors), photonic integrated circuit design, testing, system-on-a-chip development and assembly, III-V to silicon integration technology, complete system assembly and application development (spectroscopic sensing, data algorithm development etc.).

The growth: our company doubled last year, and we are planning to grow even more. You will be a very welcome next member of our team.
The product: we are about to produce industrial sensor systems that can be used to measure milk composition in agriculture, or for in-line monitoring in the beverage industry.
The investment: we are one of the first European companies to receive support from the European Investment Bank! Together with private investors, the investment reaches 15 million Eur and will finance the ongoing R&D and roll-out of the new sensor technology.

The role: Brolis Herdline IT solution infrastructure for milk composition analysis is complex and requires the expertise of a professional DevOps Engineer. With the use of the latest IoT and data engineering technologies, our IT solution is able to collect real-time data from sensors and generate a comprehensive picture of the milk’s characteristics. This involves the deployment of various infrastructure components such as servers, databases, networks, and monitoring tools. It is critical that this infrastructure is automated, scalable, and reliable to ensure smooth software delivery and deployments. A DevOps Engineer with expertise in infrastructure automation, continuous integration and deployment, monitoring and alerting, and security is essential to ensure the success of this IT solution.  You will: 

  • Develop and maintain infrastructure-as-code that even the pickiest developer will appreciate. 
  • Develop and maintain a monitoring and alerting system that will catch issues before they even have a chance to cause trouble. 
  • Write scripts and templates for infrastructure automation. 
  • Actively engage with software developers and IT operations teams to provide recommendations for continuous improvement of the IT solution infrastructure. 
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest DevOps technologies and practices to continually improve the IT solution infrastructure 
  • Actively engage and provide recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Drink coffee, eat snacks, socialize and etc.

Requirements

As an ideal candidate you have to be passionate about what you do, be friendly, self-driven, collaborative and always aim for the best result. You’ll have a direct impact to the success of the products we’ll build together. We expect you to have:

  • In-depth knowledge and 4-6 years of experience in related technical domain.
  • Experience with Azure Cloud, including automated infrastructure provisioning using tools such as Terraform, Bicep, etc. 
  • Knowledge and practical experience with various Azure services (Azure Virtual Machines, Azure App Service, Azure Databases, Azure Functions, etc.). 
  • Experience with Azure IoT Hub would be the advantage. 
  • Understanding and experience of Azure Networking Services, such as VNet, Gateways, DNS, Load Balancer, Firewall, Traffic manager, AppGateway and etc. 
  • Knowledge of Azure Active Directory (Azure AD authentication, users, groups, roles).
  • Proficiency in setting up, maintaining, and resolving issues in production environments. 
  • Strong attention to the details.
  • Enjoy sharing your work and experience with the rest of the team.
  • Good level of written and spoken English.
  • You can learn and adapt quickly.
