We’re actively seeking a highly skilled Senior Python Software Engineer/ Tech Lead to join and help shape our dynamic team. If you excel in crafting transformative software solutions, this role offers a unique chance to influence the evolution of our overall software and infrastructure systems, as well as our team growth.

Your role will encompass the full software development life cycle, from designing to maintaining our full stack. You will handle system failures, conduct code reviews, and troubleshoot applications, ensuring peak performance. Beyond this, you’ll architect scalable, reliable solutions, integrating software components and client systems into a cohesive, functional whole.

In addition to your hands-on technical duties, you will also play a significant part in guiding our team’s development. Your influence will extend to hiring decisions, helping us to select those who best fit our team culture and share our commitment to excellence. You will also engage closely with clients, using your exceptional communication skills to understand their needs and craft solutions that meet their expectations. We are looking for a senior developer or a tech lead who possesses a pragmatic mindset and can balance technical excellence with business requirements.

Mentoring will be a part of your role. You will help our data scientists transform their ideas and prototypes into production-ready code, fostering a culture of high-quality output. We’re seeking an individual with a comprehensive background mainly in the back-end (front-end skills are nice to have), demonstrated expertise in system design, and a passion for keeping up-to-date with the latest technologies and best practices. A successful candidate will be a strategic thinker, comfortable in an Agile environment, and adept at making decisions that contribute to both short-term and long-term goals.

Reikalavimai

• 6+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong experience in backend development.
• Good knowledge of Python.
• Experience with unit and integration testing, code reviews, source control and agile software development practices.
• Outstanding communication skills, with the ability to lead technical discussions, guide clients through integration, and advocate for strategic decisions within the team.
• Ability to balance technical purity with real-world constraints and business needs in decision-making.
• Good command of the English language.

Nice to have skills:

• Experience with software deployment using Docker.
• Familiarity with monitoring and metric tools (e.g. the TIG stack – Telegraf, InfluxDB and Grafana).
• Experience with machine learning libraries (Tensorflow, PyTorch).
• Knowledge of medical data archiving and transfer protocols (DICOM, HL7, PACS, HIS).
• Configuration management experience (e.g. SaltStack, Ansible).
• Tech lead or team lead experience.
