Our client is Fortis MediaFortis Media is a digital agency with a strong focus on data – driven performance digital marketing services (SEO, PPC and etc.). The company is working with international companies ranging from start-ups and SMEs to publicly listed companies. Fortis Media is in a process of growth with a plan to reach 20 members onboard by the end of 2021.

The role of the SEM (PPC) Specialist is a newly established position due to the growth of the team. The SEM (PPC) Specialist will work with one of the biggest Fortis Media’s clients – Churchill Downs Incorporated. It is the parent company of Churchill Downs. The company has evolved from one racetrack in Louisville, Kentucky, to a multi US-state, publicly traded company with racetracks, casinos and the United States’ leading online wagering company among its portfolio of businesses. The company currently has more than 4,500 employees.


Fortis Media is in a process of growth with a plan to reach 20 members onboard by the end of 2021.

You will work with one of the biggest Fortis Media's clients - Churchill Downs Incorporated.

About the role:

The role Search Engine Marketing Specialist develops, optimizes and executes paid search plans and campaigns ensuring the business goals are met (budget optimization, ROI etc.). Analyzes data from previous reports, provides insights and suggests improvements. Works closely with Ad Ops team to get best results possible.

Your team: you will work in a team of more than 10 professionals (on-page SEO Specialists, off-page SEO Specialists, Content Manager, Ad Ops specialists, Project Manager). The internal marketing team of Churchill Downs will also be your colleagues.

The main tasks of a SEM (PPC) Specialist will include:

  • Create, run, optimize and report SEM (PPC) campaigns.
  • Track, report and analyze website analytics data.
  • Effectively manage campaign budgets.
  • Optimize copy and landing pages for SEM campaigns.
  • Active search and analysis of new keyword opportunities.
  • Active monitoring of competition.
  • Be a hell of a teammate:)

  • 3 years of experience with paid search campaigns.
  • Good and proven knowledge of Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager.
  • Strong analytical, operations, and process implementation skills; detail oriented.
  • Able to work as directed, lead processes, balance multiple tasks, and work in a team.
  • Experience or direct knowledge of online campaign planning process.
  • Experience with Ad Servers: DoubleClick/Google Campaign Manager would be an advantage.
  • Agency background preferred.
  • Fluency in English – written and spoken.
